When I wanted to get this table my husband was worried about it being the textured groove wood instead of flat because with having 3 kids it'll be harder to clean when food and other things get smashed in it. I liked it a lot and it was a decent price so I chose to be blind to the cold hard truth that deep down inside I knew that would most likely happen. I also figured I could use place mats that they can eat on to avoid that happening. Within a months time one of my kids used a wipe to try and scrub out something sticky that had gotten on it and the wood got ruined in that spot. (See 1st picture). I then decided to use a table cloth which I don't like table cloths and my kids would always use the part that hung down as a napkin. So after a year or so I started looking into heavy glass to put on top but the cheapest I could find was about $400, which is like half the cost of my table that is already slightly damaged so I didn't want to spend that kind of money unless it's a brand new table which we are going to wait until the kids are older to buy a new one. I came across this and decided it's worth a try, most reviews are good. I put it on yesterday afternoon and it did curl at the ends but the note on it said I can use a blow dryer so I figured I'd put a couple heavy things on the end to flatten and use the blow dryer later on that night. By then the curls were already flattened so I didn't need to use the blow dryer. There was still a few ripples in it but I figured I'll wait to see if they go down too which by the next morning they were gone. I am really glad I went with this. It looks good (better in person than in my pics), it's thick enough to be sturdy, and it doesn't slide which I was worried about. My kids already made slime while sitting at the table earlier, so lucky me I got to test out cleaning a big mess on the cover within the first 24 hrs. There was many pieces of both tiny and big slime globs that were stuck to it, wet baking soda, about 9 shades of food coloring, and last but not least, mass amounts of smeared glue all over it. I said to myself, if the cover can be easy to clean after all this, I'm confident it can handle pretty much anything, and it was easy to clean and looked brand new again after! I was going to wait a few days to review but I think I can confidently say I love it and am so glad I got it. This is a long review so if you made it through, congrats! I read the reviews but nothing had me completely sold and for $80 I wanted to read stuff that had me feeling confident, so since I didn't get to feel that, I figured the least I can do is leave a thorough review for the next person in my shoes.I was really thinking about getting a glass for my table but I saw this so I wanted to try it it is really nice it’s really easy to clean and put it on the table it wasn’t really hard I didn’t even use it a hairdryer or anything I just unrolled it and turned it the opposite way of the the way that I unrolled it and it just grab the table perfectly I put some stuff at the end at every corner and with that it’s perfect it doesn’t move it’s really nice. I got the size it fits perfectly my table that way it’s not hanging and it looks nice if it would be hanging probably it wouldn’t look that good because it’s really thick.I liked everything about this product but I thought I was ordering a 24x48 mat. However I chose the lower cost 24x48 nothing said it was only 20x48 so it didn’t fit my desk by 2 inches unfortunately.Wish I would have just paid for the full price one. I had already cut the mat before I noticed it was not 24x48. So I couldn’t send it back or tell Amazon it was sent to me as a 20x48. ?Love the thickness of this table protector and how perfectly it protects the table. Nice and clear and came in so many sizes to choose from that it looks custom made! So happy with it!Love it. And it’s really thick and durable. The only thing is it’s not a perfect circle so the outside of the circle don’t match up to the table , either one side of the table is a quarter of an inch exposed or the other end is a bit sucking off the the edge of the table. That or my table isn’t perfectly round but it seems the plastic isn’t. Idk.. but I don’t mind it’s great.Exactly what I was looking for!! I recently purchased a beautiful 20+ year old solid oak table and chair set that was practically in new condition. And well... We have two cats in our home, so I knew I needed to find something quickly that would protect the top from scratches. I wasn't having any luck finding something locally. Apparently oval tablecloths and tables protectors are not something you can find in store anymore. I ended up stumbling across this product while I was searching online. Of course they didn't offer oval options, but I read where some of the reviewers had cut their's to get the right size. I figured I would order the closet size and give it a shot. My table measures 44" by 64". I was able to get a 44" by 66" rectangle for an amazing price, since it was a re-boxed warehouse deal. When I took it out of the box, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to cut it. It's pretty thick! But once you heat it up a little with a hair dryer, it cuts rather easily with a large pair of good sharp scissors. I first tried with a box cutter, but I felt like that was going to end badly, so I quickly switch to the scissors. To keep the protector from moving, I used two potholders and two clamps to hold it down. I just eyeballed it when cutting around the edge. I trimmed mine twice. When I first put it down I trimmed off a a good bit of excess and let it sit, just to see if it was going to shrink. Then a couple weeks later I went back over it with a final trim. I've had mine for a just over a month now and haven't noticed any shrinking. You definitely want to keep in mind that this item is shipped rolled up! So don't expect it to be lay perfectly flat when you first unroll it. Mine had LOTS of ripples when I first unrolled it. The only way you can get the ripples out, is with some free time and a hair dryer. So far I've spent about 3 hours total on getting the ripples out. I spend about an hour on it each week. It's so close to being completely smooth! I figure I'm about an hour from it being finished. Once I am finished with my kitchen table, I plan on purchasing another one so I can make covers for the nightstands in our master bedroom and in our guest bedroom. I'm just so happy with this purchase purchase!!! This company makes a great quality product! It's exactly what I was looking for. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone looking for a protector for their table top!I bought this to protect my dining room table. The thickness of the vinyl and the way it looks on my table is worth the price. I gave this product a five because it met my expectations of those made by the manufacturer.Bought to turn our tv table/stand into a table for our wee one so they have somewhere to play at their height and not worry about toys getting smashed about on top.The PVC sheet is cut slightly larger than size described which I had read before and I’m glad of this as I was hoping that would be the case as it fits our tv unit perfectly and protects it well as well as staying in place.Excellent quality and definitely worth the money. Not suitable for my table, unfortunately, had to return.Amazing product. We got this custom fit. Chose this as we wanted the dark colour of the table to show rather than covering it with a cloth. This was perfect....table is now protected and it makes the table look really classy and expensive as though it has some special glass layer over it!Great product, has protected our dining room table really well !!!
