This is a great mouse mat but straight out of the package it curls up a lot, so for convenience I used some double sided sticky things on each corner, it work really well after. Overall, this mouse mat is great for a nice home but official look!!Got myself a nice Uplift standing desk with birch butcher block top and wanted something to cushion and protect the keyboard/mouse areas from wear as well as some modest cushioning for my wrists. My desk came with a nice large synthetic leather desk pad but the material doesn’t breath causing sweaty wrists and it was too large forcing my monitors to rest on the edge of the pad. So found this one and took a chance, I’m happy with the size and gray color I chose. Only nitpick is the matted fuzzy top material is really scratchy on my wrists, luckily with more regular use I’d say this has a break-in period and starts to soften over time. If you can accept the initial scratchyness it’s a good product, perhaps there’s some way to gently rub something over the top fiber surface while new to expedite the break-in.This is a great budget alternative to the grovemade mats that’s featured in a ton of YouTube video by pretty much every content creator. It’s packed rolled up but a couple of rubber bands so when you folded it out it does have creases, wrinkles and dose not lay flat. DONT PANIc. It can be flattened out and smoothed by an iron. I took a simple under shirt to to act a a layer between the mat and the iron as not damage it and that did the trick. Had it for over a week now and had no problems with it.I love the 31x 11.8 size of this pad - perfect for my 50" x 25" desk without covering too much of the wood underneath. My Logitech MX keys and mouse fit perfectly. I will say it handles spills better than I expected - I have spilled orange Fanta on it and after blotting and a little bit of dish soap, there's no stain on the front, even though you can clearly tell underneath where I spilled. However, after almost a year, the pilling is getting annoying. I have turned the pad around to the side that never got touched and will try to get another couple of months out of it, but if pilling is something that annoys you, you may be better off purchasing a higher-quality wool pad.It definitely feels on the cheap side. There is a rubbery mid-layer under the wool that doesn't show in the pictures. The edges are a bit sharp, they were not beveled at all. I took a leather edging tool to it to smooth it over, a little sandpaper might do the trick too. It definitely takes some time to work out the curling that comes from it shipping rolled up too.For the price, if you put a little work into it, It's still probably a good buyGood quality overall and feels good above the mouse, not ideal for gaming thoThe company that makes them would do their customers a great service if the beveled the edges or something so that instead of having this SHARP ~1/8” edge around the entire thing, the edges were sloped from the 1/8” height to desk level. This would eliminate the painful edge. But maybe it’s difficult to cut the material that way…?I like the look and feel of this desk mat. It has texture but it is not scratchy on your skin. Mice run over is smoothly. It has a non-skid backing on it. However, after a few months it began to pill where the mouse was used. I purchased mine around Thanksgiving of 2021 and here we are in July 2022 and I will need to replace it soon. I can pull the pills from the desk mat to extend the life of it, but I have no interest in doing that after every other use.I was hesitant to order this because of the mixed reviews, but finally decided to do so, after having watched a YouTube "desk video" featuring this product.Plusses: it looks very good, stays put on my desk (the anti slip layer works very well), it's mostly comfortable, my mouse works well on it, and it actually dampens the sound of keyboard taps and mouse clicks.Minuses: The edge isn't rounded, so putting my hand on the edge doesn't feel as comfortable as I'd wish for, and there is some creasing on the side that was on the inside when it was rolled up. But I just got it, so we'll see how that develops.Overall, I'm happy. I'm sure there are better products, but you pay more for them as well.Edit: 3-4 months in and it turns out that the mouse does catch the fabric every now and then. This does wear down the pad. Subtracting one star because of this. The mat is shipped by rolling it up and placing two rubber bands on each end. This affects how the mat is and leaves wrinkle creases once you try to flatten it. I ironed the mat and it helped to get rid of all the creases. Overall the mat quality is fine and the non sip side works well, I would recommend this mat to you if you’re willing to take the time to iron it out.I ordered the grey colour but I received a light grey one. It also says on the description that it is non-slip but the there is no difference on the top and bottom side of the product. Contacted Amazon support and they said I will get a refund once they receive the item back. They gave me a shipping label so I don't have to pay. Quality of the product is just okay for $21.Item is exactly as displayed. The color is dark and very even. The desk paed is rolled rather than folded, which is excellent. I used an iron and a cloth to make it flat. The non-slip backing does the job very well. I would recommend this product without hesitation.
